Anthony Asquith co-writes and co-directs this silent drama. Set in a movie studio, the story follows the crumbling relationship of married acting duo Mae Feather (Annette Benson) and Julian Gordon (Brian Aherne). After Julian learns of her affair with the comedian Andy Wilkes (Donald Calthrop), Mae devises a ploy to kill her husband by inserting a real bullet into the prop gun she fires at him during the shooting of their new film.
